Welcome to Pocket PC Addict piru550 and congratuations on your Cingular 8125 purchase! You can find all the downloads you need in our downloads section here. To install games and apps on your device you just need to download the setup file on your PC and run the installation program (make sure you have ActiveSync installed on the said PC before you connect your 8125 to it). If you are downloading a .CAB file, copy it directly to your device using ActiveSync, open up File Explorer on your 8125 navigate to where you placed the file and run it from there. That should install the program for you.
well check out the stickies here, and its all very simple. if the file is a .cab file all you have to do is, drag into a folder in your phone through active sync, and install it from your phone, and if its a MSI file, all you have to do is, have active sync well active, and install on to desktop.
what about if I access this download from this pocket pc. thnx
If you access the download from the Pocket PC then just run the .cab file from your device. However, you can't run files designed to be installed from Windows unfortunately...
I recently tried to download sudoku gold and i am having trouble installing. I have tried using active sync and setting up from the 8125 itself, but it is either unsuccessful or it say 'setup is not a valid pocket pc app'. any ideas?
Oh that happened to me to here's what i did. First you can't open or rather run the setup on your device.
Now that you have synced go to the program on your desktop click on it and install setup will begin. Let it run its normal course. Somewhere in the middle a message will pop up telling you to complete the next steps on your device (parapharsing) but essentially look at your device and it will tell you it's beginning the install process. Follow the prompts till its complete.
yeah i have done it that way, by clicking 'yes' after it prompts me to look at the phone, but after that it will say that the install had beeen unsuccessful. could it be that im running wisbar advance 2?
