So I just downloaded both Astraware Sudoku and Resco Sudoku and I must say that Astraware's demo blows Resco's out of the water. Given that Resco is known for their utilities and Astraware for their games, there was just no contest. Now if Astraware tried to develop a file explorer they just might be in trouble. But why do I like Astraware's version over Resco's? Well first off, the time limit on the demo version. I was almost done with the puzzle on Resco's version and then boom! The game resets itself! That left a bad taste in my mouth. Sure there is support for square resolutions and the graphics are better, but if you're going to make a time limitation make it on the program itself, not on the game in progress. But then again Resco's version only sells for $14.95 USD and Astraware sells theirs for $19.95 USD, so if I were to buy the program maybe I'd actually like Resco's. You know... I think that the time limitiation might be it for me...What Sudoku version do you guys like?

I have the Astraware version...of course I have tons of their games already, so I was predisposed to it in the first place. It never occured to me to try anyone elses version.
When it comes to more simple games, like puzzle games, most of the population would go for the cheaper version. Especially since there isn't much difference between different versions of those types of games. Unless of course, the cheap version is really buggy. Thats why you should always check over atleast 2 reviews before making any decisions. You can check the developer's forum (if there is one) to see if there is an unusually large amount of complaints.
