Personally, I am a huge fan of the RTS (Real Time Strategy) game genre. I've played Command and Conquer since the early days and currently have Age Of Mythology loaded on my home desktop PC. Warring Nations (affiliate) is being described as a Medieval RTS. Boston Pocket PC has posted a nice review of this game that you should give a read if you like this type of game. "During a particularly cerebrally aggressive period during my youth, my sister and I (and a few friends if we could con them into it) would sit at our dining room table and play RISK for hours at a time. As many of you know, RISK is a board game that challenges each player to conquer the world. Each move you make can have an important impact on the outcome of the game. Game play can literally take hours, but, boy, was it ever satisfying to win the game! To conquer the world! To outwit, outlast, outplay… I guess that’s a different game, but the objectives are the same.
After I got my second Pocket PC (iPAQ 3830) I was turned onto a freeware game called Warring States. Geographically based in Asia, the object of the game was to build armies, collect taxes and unite China by conquering all the states. I think I was attracted to the game because it reminded me of RISK on a much smaller scale and I could play it by myself. I rather enjoyed playing it from time to time."
Anybody here tried this game? What do you think about it?
