I haven't tried this myself, but according to Gizmodo and Engadget, BestBuy will carry and sell the HTC Touch Dual this weekend!
I checked on the website and it's "Available Online Only" for now. Not sure when it'll become store-available. Probably not anytime soon in my idea. It did take them almost 6 months after the release of Europe market to finally decide that it might do some good in US. However, there are some differences between the US and Europe's devices. The devices in the US will come with Windows Mobile 6.1!
In any case, the HTC Touch Dual will have a fierce competition in coming months. Its newest sibling is waiting to take thrones from all the Touch family. The HTC Touch Diamond is coming up within couple of months.
Bestbuy is offering Windows Mobile 6.1 off the box and it's at $549.99 unlocked. Remember, AT&T is NOT the only place with 3G anymore. Enjoy... unless you want to wait for the Diamond!
Best buy does not have the HTC Touch Dual for sale on web site - a sales operator told me it has been back ordered for weeks. The person also told me some callers have indicated they had seen it in the best buy stores for sale, which I doubt. It has never shown up as an available in store pick up item.
I just got HTC Dual from Best Buy - it is 3G and it is pretty neat phone - I get lots of phone calls and lots of email - it is easy to use as a phone and the various methods of tying makes it easy to respond to emails. I am curious about its battery life - I had a AT&T 8925 tilt and I needed 3 batteries a day - I quit using it after only 3 weeks of use and sold it for 1/3 of what I paid for it.
