The time finally comes. HTC will give those of you (with the TyTN II) an update that will improve the graphics drivers!
When is it? It should be sometimes this month (according to MSMobiles.com) It's very likely that it'll be just this coming week. HTC will release the ROM update for HTC TyTN II that will improve graphics drivers and will offer improved performance.
Sounds good, right? Well, yes. However, that'll only be effective for those with the TyTN II, not with other versions. That'll mean it's too bad for those of you who has the Tilt, or whatever your wireless carrier decided to call it.
The issues that will be resolved have not really been spoken. This is actually from a "reliable" source from the MSMobiles.com. We don't even know (but hope) that it's true.
Wonder if it would have been a better move for HTC to let us know about this before launching the Touch Diamond? How about other devices that are effected??
this is almost great news, cuz most of us have the ATT tilt. but really no big deal, a week or so after the update, the guys over at xda will have cooked a rom including the update, and thatll be the day that i cant wait for.
im itching for this update like a crackwhore...im so tired of the sluggish att rom that is so bloated with trial games and such. i just want this update to come so i can flash a cooked rom including it as soon as possible. come on htc its been months tilters have been waiting for this, dont tease.
i havent done so yet cuz im waiting for this update to see how things go first...but nate affirmed this was the link you need to go to before you flash.
or just send him your phone and 50 bucks and he will do it all for you including games and software and the works...if your a complete newbie and have no idea and dont wanna brick i suggest doing that.
oh, and if you just got the tilt, newer owners have been coming to a problem with a white screen when trying to hardSPL, so you have to go here to fix that
ok so i believe its out. i was lookin thru engadget and saw that a 6.1 update was released yesterday. headed over to xda and i dont even see a thread about it...but i think its out. guess ill wait a few more days til i can put a new updated rom on my tilter.
well it already is out. but apparently there are a few bugs with it, especially if you have hard spl-ed it already and put on a cooked rom. apparently the 6.1 cooked roms that were already out are just as good or better.
i can wait a little bit more til something stable and improved is proven.
