I know for a lot of you mobile browsing is a must. For some of you the built-in Internet Explorer isn’t enough and find other alternatives such as Opera Mobile. Well add one more to your list of browsers. From an APC Magazine interview with Mozilla Foundation CEO Mitchell Baker, we’re told that they are working on a mobile browser of the ever so popular Firefox browser. This is where you tech savvy people say “Mozilla already has the minimo browser”. And yes, you’re right but minimo up to this point is not an official product and it's still a few (dozen) steps behind Opera Mobile when it comes to speed and performance.
The new mobile browser is in the works at the moment but Baker tells us that it will take a long time until any release as Firefox is popular for its add-ons and customizability and to work that in to a mobile browser is a bit of a challenge. But with the great things we’ve already seen with Firefox I feel as if this will be the next generation mobile browser.
I love Firefox myself and I'm really excited about this release. What I really like is all of the plug-ins available for the desktop version.
Now, I'm highly ignorant about the WM OS, but will adding a lot of plug-ins to something like Firefox affect the performance of the phone? It's great that I can customize everything, but I don't want to shoot myself in the foot reguarding loading times.

think about it...you really only need tabbed browsing! that alone (to me anyway) is the best feature of firefox.

the tabs are awesome in my opinion too but IE7 and AOL Explorer have it too. Its all about the first ISP to offer a mobile version of their browser with most of the more popular features. Besides to me the best feature in firefox is definately the add-ons. Ive change my theme so many times since I caught the Fox.
