Wii Channel? Wii Ware? We get the nun-chuks now, but what more can innovation bring to this system?
The answer is nothing intangible like more fun, or increased libido, but rather more in the direction of American consumer practicality.
"the Nintendo Channel is how customers will be able to get a feel for games to help them make purchasing decisions," says Reggie Fils-Aime, President of Nintendo America.
Features like easy to access reviews, hands-on demos, and even sneak peak videos will be integrated into the Wii Channel experience. No more having to browse youtube for the latest gameplay video.
Wii Ware will run side-by-side with this program, as it will allow the download of several games, and provide the user with a more hands-on experience of the many games and networking that will be available to them.
And the best news....
There are whispers that Nintendo may have something in the works for connecting all of this content, right back to your mobile device!
With the average shelf life of 1 hour, now more than ever it will be difficult to get your hands on a Wii if you don't already own one. Be sure to include this information in your future purchases... or sales... or whatever.
