In our day and age, it is hard to find company like Seagate, that is so committed to innovation. Media is filled slander, shock and awe, and half naked women that have nothing to do with the merit of the product that is being advertised.
Although Seagate has recently succumbed to moderate levels of modernization, they still commit to the same values since their founding. They have been in the hard drive business for over 29 years and are celebrating their 1 billionth unit sale. At the sales rate they are climbing, Seagate estimates that they will reach double this number in 5 years.
When is the last time you turned on the tube and saw a hip young pop icon singing of how his Seagate hard drive made him a rock star? I'd put money on never. What Seagate has proven is that you don't need the hackery. Just pricing, performance and longevity ready and willing to kick your mom in the teeth.
Unfortunately, a lot of people have been bugging me about the whole seagate props, but this is all kind of based on hearsay. We heard that the CEO said this, they have a huge amount of patents. He said that she said that your mom said that Seagate is evil.
Maybe I'm just in denial, but I still love the product, and Seagate has proven their product to be as I stated, reliable and cost efficient! Of course their new advertising is starting to make them look more and more like the metrosexual apple scheme, I have yet to see anything that is misleading or slanderous.
Which is disheartening for a young, bright-eyed admirer of the company....
But honestly, I still do stand by my claim of their products. I feel that a lot of solid state drives manufacturers were very shady in the way that brought their products out, but I guess that really doesnt justify the mumbo jumbo from Seagate.
I will put my hat back on, and second you on this uberchet, I really hope they can come out of this with clean hands. =/
