Rich Miner, a group manager for Google’s mobile platform department said “there’s a much larger potential market for Android than for the iPhone.” The Android OS will be released later this year on handsets from HTC, Samsung, Motorola, and LG. Miner, after looking at the iPhone SDK said “There are things I saw people doing with the first version of the Android SDK that it seems like you cant do with the iPhone at least at the moment.” Apple’s SDK was released not that long ago, and has been downloaded 100,000 times. Androids SDK has been downloaded about 750,000 times. Time will tell how this all plays out, can’t wait.
