I'm not really sure how to talk about this article. I guess it's going to be more of a discussion between you and me. Now, the news that I'm about to report is true and happening sometimes soon and I would like to hear what you have to say.
Before, we always say that Windows Mobile is still superior than iPhones and that is because we have some functionality that the iPhone does not. We get to do corporate stuff. We have Microsoft Exchange and ActiveSync support all around us. We have that Push mail, Contacts, Global Address List, Cisco IPsec VPN. All of those were just for us. However, that is about to change.
iPhone came out with all the hype that it is the best phone ever. We all know that it's not true. It didn't support any of the functions listed above. Now, though, it will.
With the new firmware update coming up, those functions will be available to the iPhones. Granted, there are not that many people using iPhone for those functions, but those functions will bring some of the people from here to there.
I've been using WM for years. I'm not about to switch because something else is catching up, no matter how cool the interface is. I'm fine.
I have a question though: Cisco VPN? I've searched long and hard for it, and have only found one product that supported it. It unfortunately didn't work and their support couldn't get it working. Where are you getting that support?
Before you all jump on Shogun's band wagon! does anyone care to discuss their stance on the new custom firmwares that have been getting released for more an more hand held electronics?
Ok still no full qwerty keyboard well not one you can send out major emails with or type word docs.
No office word docs, excel, power point
still no 3g!!!!! also no removable memory, oh and were about to have 12gb available to us.
And what about the what 10,000 different 3rd party softwares aviable to us
Also what gps, ir port, removable battery, one hand use, actual hard buttons, changeable themes including iphone if you really want, um remote desk top, xm radio, able to download email attachments, stereo bluetooth support, wifi, tethering, csd line, easily unlocked to other service providers.
Just a few things off the top of my head the only thing Im actually jelous about is the screen. And there are other wm devices with a larger screen.
Our fears Shogun really...
come on my only fear is that all those tree hugging mac lovers all quit working at star bucks and I dont get my coffee in the morning. :P
