After a series of attacks on mobile phone towers, Privately owned cell phone companies have given into the demands of Taliban forces and have enacted a 5PM curfew, ending at 7AM. The Taliban have attacked at least 10 towers, completely destroying six of them. There claim is that the towers are helping NATO and Afghan troops. Currently, the government is encouraging network providers to resist the curfew, but how the government will prevent the attacks is unclear.
