I read this news on Gizmodo and couldn't believe that it was true. Then I researched about it some more, the news is actually on Yahoo! So I don't really know what to think about this.
Apparently, there are a large number of injuries happening in England that caused by people using texts. The injuries that we've heard around the states sides are usually people driving and killing someone. Which is VERY VERY stupid. However, this is a better situation, but same stupid case.
People that gets hurt while texting in England usually happens when they are walking on the street. They walk into solid objects. Walking into lampposts while texting. I can imagine that it hurts, but I cannot imagine someone who is inattentive enough to do so.
The government in England has decided to pad the lampposts and other solid objects on the street. At least th eone that can hit your head and have you fall on the ground. Currently, it is being tested on Brick Lane in London. IF it becomes successful, it'll start spreading around to other cities of England.
Maybe our own technology invention is our own path to natural selection.
