BlackBerry Getting The Shaft From Sprint

Sprint just came out with the Simply Unlimited Plan. It's the best unlimited plan on paper (or picture on the computer) thus far. It's the best plan within the big four companies. However, there is this one tiny thing Sprint has left out.

They're saying that you cannot get a BlackBerry with Simply Unlimited plan. Now, take a deep breath. Look at that picture I posted on top. It clearly has the BlackBerry 8830 on it. It also states this on the Simply Unlimited page:

Quote:
E-mail includes use of ActiveSync, MICROSOFT Windows Mobile with Direct Push, Versamail, IBM Lotus Notes Traveler or BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)
But still no. The customer service from Sprint just simply said Sprint's Simply Unlimited plan can be used with any Sprint-offered handsets that's not BlackBerry. You cannot get the plan online, so you have to call in. The guys at Boy Genius Report had done that and this is their conversation:

Quote:
  • Us: I want to get a BlackBerry 8830 with the Simply Unlimited plan.
  • Lady: I’m sorry, Simply Unlimited isn’t available with BlackBerry Devices.
  • Us: But the site says "unlimited BIS" and even pictures an 8830 in the Simply Unlimited ad!
  • Lady: It must be a mistake. We do offer very competative BlackBerry plans though, would you like me to tell you about them?
  • Us: No.
That's unfortunate. Either it's bad advertising, or it's bad customer service knowledge. No matter what, both of those things will one day bring the doom to Sprint if they're not doing anything about this. If you're a current customer and interested in this plan. You can just sign up and it'd be an easy switch for you. You don't even have to get a new contract. Sucky for BlackBerry users though.
