The Latest News And Reviews of SkyFire

Well, a lot of us have heard and been talking about Skyfire and still many of us are still waiting for that baby to come out. At least reveal itself more to us. Well, the wait has come to an end (to a certain extend) that we will learn a bit more about this application.

There's a review written about the Skyfire by PocketNow.com and the results might be expected but to many of us, a shattered hopes and dreams.

Why so dramatic, you ask?

Skyfire is not really a browser. It's a viewer using server-based software. It will available for all of us, but it's very likely that it'll be a monthly fee based service. To many users, that's useless. Not only many of us want things for free, but we're at least willing to pay for a fee to use the product. Just not as far as monthly fee for products. Then again, there's World of Warcraft to prove me wrong.

If you follow the link here, you'll see a video and some demonstration. You can also see screen-shots and some in-depth analysis.

The conclusion? The Skyfire is as cool as they've said to be. It'll render the most complicated web pages and it'll play Flash that you can only play on PCs. There are some small things here and there that needs to be improved (like zoom function to watch videos on Youtube and such, it zooms in to a fraction of the video and kind of hard to press "play" or "pause" through the video). However, the biggest concern for this "browser" now is that, how is it going to be available to the public? Will I ever get to lay my hands on this little baby?
