Not that it was confirmed or has been formalized. There are, hotugh, hints here and there that it'll happen.
Telus is not exactly decommissioning their CDMA network or anthing like that. They do like the UMTS/HSPA though. The reason being? They are listing a bunch of jobs. Of course, all of the jobs (for switch engineer) to have some CDMA and EV-DO experience. That makes sense, but they also put down "knowledge on UMTS, IMS and LTE evolution as well.
There's no mention of UMB or WiMAX around. So, it is a pretty good hint that in a period of time. The Telus might as well be called the GSM carrier. Which many Canadians are hopeful for. So the price on at least one of the company will be lower.
