Following the move by Verizon, AT&T introduced an unlimited plan of its own. The plan will start at $100 per month while allowing their subscribers to call anywhere within the US, of course, without the long distance or roaming charges that normally will be there.
Cool, eh? Data and MMS/SMS messaging services are not included though. However, it can easily be added by paying their normal plan at $20 rates. (sorry, there's no diagram laid out like Verizon's plan)
If you like the way things sound. You can start signing up now and it will be available for all on the 22nd. If you already are their subscribers, you can get it with extending your contract at all. However, the plan is targeting at AT&T existing lineup and does not include devices that need special calling or data plans, such as BlackBerries and Windows Mobile handsets. Somehow, the iPhone is also included with the unlimited plan. There's a catch though, it's going to be $120 per month. The data plan is still going to require another $20 per month for the unlimited data plan for the iPhone.
This is pretty much a direct competition between AT&T and Verizon Wireless. The only difference is Verizon is adding the streaming internet videos as well as assisted GPS services. AT&T also has that, but it's going to cost ya some more.
