HP decided that the iPAQ 610, who was so close and yet so far from being finished, is not good enough for the public. I guess we have to thank HP for some quality assurance.
HP has decided to cancel it after rounds of delays. Hp decided that the Windows Mobile smartphone, the 619 or iPAQ 614 (c and 600), isn't good enough. The company didn't really give the information of what happened or why is it happening. The only statement they gave out was "due to recent legal issues between suppliers of mobile phone technologies, HP has decided not to offer the iPAQ 610 Business Navigator to US customers as previously planned"
So it's actually not certain if it's just happening here, or is it a global thing. Is this happening because they're trying to prevent another Qualcomm-HTC-esque? If it is, good job HP!
OK, Engadget just supported this saying that it'll be available else where in the world... so I guess the HTC vs Qualcomm thing wasn't happening with this device.
