According to WMExperts, they have sources telling them that AT&T will be released a ROM update... tomorrow! (February 15th).
The update is not a significant update. Probably no new features, but it should be working more "properly". So it's not Windows Mobile 6.1 or that driver that we wanted from HTC. Instead, it's just a bug-fixing updates.
Here are the list of things that you'll get fixed:
Device freezing during unlock process when a password is enabled on the device.
Pocket Outlook unresponsive when launched while on an active voice call.
Fast Forward and Rewind not working with Bluetooth headset and the Tilt.
DTMF tones for the slide out QWERTY keyboard not working.
Intermittent unresponsiveness from Touch Screen (aka Start Button Issue).
Excessive background noise while using a BT headset.
So be ready to get the new upgrade and hopefully there won't be too much crap that AT&T will be giving you for free.
Thanks got it installed everything went fine except for one thing. I had it set up to retrieve my email from work and the sprite backup did not transfer the accounts back to the phone so it shows messages waiting but when I go there , no accounts are shown. I tried to set the account up just like before but it keeps telling me that the account is already active. I can set up a totally different account but that would not fix the problem of the messages shown on the today screen. I did a soft reset but no luck. Called ATT and had them reset the phone from their end and hopefully that will fix it, still waiting to see it works. Any other suggestions in case it doesn't work would be appreciated.. Nope the ATT reset did not help.. I am lost on this one..
can you go into the message/e-mail setups? If you go in there, you MAY be able to find out if it's still there.
Last time, I had trouble deleting an account. So I had to uninstall the whole e-mail for my device and reinstall it. It took much longer than expected and it was a pain in the butt to do.
I use Sprint, so I don't know if you have to install something that AT&T gives you though. I had to (not after I decided to use Windows Live instead)

If I go to messages and accounts it only shows, Messages, Outlook etc. None of the work accounts. I may have to do a hard reset . I only hope the sprite backup will restore my stuff like ringtones and contacts. If not Oh well I will get some experience in setting it up again.. Thanks for the reply.
