Not a lot of people knew what Zagat Survey is, even less knew that it was on Palm. Well, surprised. Palm does have Zagat Survey in the OS and you can probably find Zagat to be decently useful application.
Zagat Survey has been around 1979. It was started to be collecting and correlate the ratings of restaurants by diners. Now, it goes around the net and cover more than just the that one city that got it all started, New York City. It has more than 30,000 restaurants, nightspots, hotels and even golf courses in hundreds of cities worldwide.
The new version will feature an improved interface, a recently viewed list and an easier setup process. It still has the ability to search and browse listings by cuisine/category, neighborhood, ratings, cost, feature and Zagat's well-known top lists.
Zagat Survey v6.0 also adds PIM and smartphone integration so you can add those listings onto your address book and even add reservation onto your calendar.
If you have never used it before, you have to pay on the sucription basis for $29.95 for a 12 month subscription. It'll also become available for the Windows Mobile version, but currently, there's no demo version yet.
Keep your heads up and look when it comes out! It might be pretty good. You can download the Zagat To Go for Palm here. I don't know where the Windows Mobile version can be downloaded when it's available yet.
