Electronista has reported that Sprint and Clearwire are back discussing a previously-ended deal that they had together on the WiMAX rollout.
Although the rollout plan never panout, they are at least coming to some degree of agreement. Both Sprint and Clearwire agree to let another company use the tower when one of their subscribers is roaming into another company's territory. This efforts will help either companies to save energy and money from building their own towers everywhere.
There are also rumors that WiMAX is being sponsored by many big names, such as BestBuy and Google. The only concern that they have is the other 4G network, LTE. Supposedly, LTE is faster and more popular among other carriers than the WiMAX itself.
