HTC just got slammed by consumers about not taking responsibility about the missing drivers lately. I couldn't agree to the consumers more, but at least they were true to their word when they said they were going to give out the ROM that will make the Sprint Mogul a better pocket PC device.
Well, let me take that back. I don't know if it's true, but this is definitely a rumor that seems like it's true and real. Sprint has crippled the device pretty well. It doesn't support GPS or EVDO Rev A. It still has some other issues, but with the update of the ROM, I guess they hope that you'll forgive them for all the wrong doing they've done or promised on this device.
With this update, the GPS and EVDO Rev A will be functional. It is the feature that was promised by Sprints when it first came out. It seems like this will be coming out somewhere around March. There was a leak in the public domain, but who knows what that can do/cripple your device.
I can't find that download anymore, but at least it seems like it really is coming out at last.
Some words from Sprint employees? They said it still is working on the EVDO Rev A part, but the GPS works with Google Maps and acquires satellites very quickly. It is a bleak of good signs coming indeed!
