Certainly, I actually did forget about this little device. Finally, the iPAQ 210 decided to make an appearance after news here and there saying delays are coming for this device.
HP finally offer its iPAQ 210 to the market! It was supposed to be coming out in October, but the supply issue pushed the release date way back.
Well! No more exuses, here is what you've been waiting for *drum rolls* HP iPAQ 210!
It doesn't seem to have a phone. I think my iPaq 4700s and 4705s are almost the same critter.
What is new? I'm not really a techni-geek (but I do respect them), but, can anyone tell me the differences between the 47xx series and the new 210?
What can I do with a 210 that I cannot do with a 4700?
Run WM6?
WM5 runs OK on the 4700, WM6 seems to me to be geared towards a device with a phone function.

My personal opinion, aside of hardware upgrades, I don't think there are much more that 210 can do and 4700 cannot.
Maybe applications that require more memory? If you look up the specs sheet between the two, you'll see that a lot of the 4700 hardwares were upgraded to be 210. Also, the 210 input is through touchscreen and stylus.
Even if it doesn't do more - it should do some things better.
1. It will allow you to use the high capacity SD cards, so you can use one over 2 gig.
2. More memory (double the ram and the rom)
3. LED backlight - bright and conserve battery life
4. Bigger battery
5. Upgraded OS - Windows Mobile 6 vs 2003 SE
6. No more annoying touch pad
7. New/upgraded (hopefully faster) processor
8. Two speakers vs one with the 4700
9. Mini usb for connecting and recharging
At the very least my 4700 was starting to show signs of wear, the 210 will be a nice upgrade/replacement.
If you are looking for a phone/pda perhaps the 510 is more to your liking.
