Couple of days ago, I wrote an article on Qualcomm and its new chipset "Snapdragon". It sounds awesomally cool because it has a 1GHz processing speed! I know that wasn't a word and I'm regret to inform all of us that it wasn't true. I've been tricked.
We got our story from Engadget and they just made a post saying that Qualcomm had contact them that the "Snapdragon prototypes" being shown at CES this year isn't really using the Snapdragon platform. They didn't really tell that straight up to Engadget. The guys at Engadget had to find out on their own and we can probably say they're not too happy about this.
As it turns out, the Anchorage and Fairbanks prototypes were just there for demonstration purposes. To be examples "of what Snapdragon-enabled devices will feature,". Nice improvement or "invention" since the new chipsets will be showing the same power with the older chipsets....
