Well, it is exactly as it sounds. You probably can't be on there live doing some "sprinkler" dance, but you CAN send your text message to be shown on the Jumobotron on the biggest party day in New York! New Year's eve.
The messages will be accepted from any wireless carriers. Although the event is sponsored and held by Verizon Wireless.
Text to 81878 and a picture can be sent to NYX@pix.vzw.com. The messages will be showed starting at 1 PM ET until 4 AM ET on New Year's Day.
I'm pretty sure that there will be many marriage proposals or other big announcements. Good luck on timing it though.
I also can't wait to see the highlights of funny messages on there. Don't waste your time if you're going to send dirty messages though. I'm sure Verizon will somehow filter the messages sent to them.
