Startup company WiPower, and the University of Florida the wireless charging platform is still not ready for commercialization, even though it actually “exceeds the efficiency of most corded chargers.” In the lab the efficiency was about 68%, which can eventually reach 80%. Corded power supplies get an average of 58%. No word yet on when the charging system will be released. I wonder what happens when water spills on it.
