After ChrisS just posted about iTouch vs HTC Touch, I just found a column about HTC Touch. It is being launched!
For all those who drooled at iPhone for its touch-screen, but dislike Mac with a passion... Well, here's your chance! It has Windows Mobile PC 6 Professional on it. Slapped around with a 2.0 MP camera. The standby and talk time ain't too shabby either (200hrs/5hrs)
I'm not saying that this will replace the iPhone, but it's definitely is something to see as an iPhone's alternative. You can see the full list of specs here.
Well it looks sexy, but that's about it - they've gone backwards with the specs and stuck a 200MHz CPU in it!
With most Pocket PCs (and even Smartphones in some cases!) offering 400MHz CPUs, and high-end models offering 600MHz CPUs, it seems kinda silly to offer such a slow processor...
I was looking at it for my partner, but I'm not gonna take a step backwards and buy a device that's outdated before it's even launched!
A great idea and a sexier competitor to Apple's iPhone, but too rushed...
It is a TI OMAP rather than in the XScale line. Any idea how the performance of the two different CPU designs compares? It sounds like trying to measure PC vs. Mac using just processor speed from two different architectures.
You here reviewed the HTC Touch mobile nice...It's fantastic mobile. What i want to say about that you quoted here..Any way..It's name is attracting Touch..Many people want to touch the mobile after read the review any where..the keypads, screen, pixels, designed excellently..I unlocked the HTC Touch from the United Kingdom's (UK) T-Mobile network using the Unlock code.I got the Unlock code in here http://www.onlinegsmunlock.com/htc-touch/rs7wp9/
