HTC Touch VS Apple iPod Touch

Sorry for Apple, but the Touch trademark actually belongs to HTC. So what’s HTC going to do about it? Nothing, they’re going to be nice about the whole trademark infringement issue until they see how it affects them. While many can differentiate the two I imagine this would make looking up for information on the two products just that much more difficult.

Ching-hung Wang (transliterated from Chinese), marketing manager of HTC pointed out that he does not think Apple's iPod touch was targeting HTC since Apple should put its focus on bigger companies like Google, Yahoo and Microsoft. As for whether iPod touch violates HTC's trademark, Wang pointed out that in the past Apple and Cisco were able to reach a mutually satisfactory agreement over the rights to the iPhone trademark, adding that the question surrounding the rights to the Touch trademark would need further observation.

I honestly think the Apple touch thing is a disappointment. It would need way more space to be any good; 8gb for a device what's meant to play movies? I'm sick of "hip" people buying anything with a half eaten apple stuck on it. If Steve Jobs crapped on a box people would go crazy over it.

At least the HTC touch is more useful. It seems to be fairly good as smartphones go. I still hate Apple.

What I can't understand is why they put so little memory in it - they should have put at least 10GB in the iPhone (especially since music and video are two of the key features)!

When HTC release a realistic competitor to the iPhone (seriously, my HTC/Dopod 838Pro has at least twice the grunt of the iPhone in almost every way!), I would expect at least 10GB of built-in storage space...

hey the htc touch is micro sdhc capatible and sandisc are coming out with 6gb and 8gb cards that will work in them. there are just so many reasons iphone suck. in short a device thats supose to support video and music like it does how long does it really last away from a power supply i mean you cant even change a battery on a long trip or on a plane. also people think its a ppc its not a smart phone at best. and no stereo blue tooth, no 3g, no memory expansion slot, cant even download from itunes obviously not a well thought out product another reason why apple will always be second.
