Although the SMS texting exploded only a couple of years ago, it has actually been in service for 15 years! Back in the day, it was first brought to consumers by Acision and had a capacity of only 10 messages per second. Now SMSC can handle as much as 32x that. Thinking about it, SMS may be phased out by email as phones become more complex, but maybe not anytime soon. Happy birthday dude!
