While it would be a dream come true to get a perfect smartphone with no internal or external flaws, we are well aware that this rarely happens, if ever. Whatever brand or platform the smartphone works on, it’s expected to have some bugs that will annoy you. Well, here’s another one of those stories—this time, on the Toshiba G900. Many users of the Toshiba G900 Windows Mobile 6 Professional handset seem to be reporting problems that are causing returns to occur, the main complaint being that once the phone goes to sleep, it won’t wake up until a reset is conducted. Sad that they weren’t able to catch such a thing like that before releasing the phone, but sounds like Toshiba is responding to these frustrated customers by promising to fix the problem in the next few weeks. With this, let’s just hope that Toshiba does a better job of catching these simple flaws in their phone before releasing them. Can I say, lesson learned, Toshiba?
Word is that Toshiba has posted a fix for the standby mode issue with the caveat that if your G900 is not experiencing the problem, you should not install the patch. Very fast response on their part - maybe they learned from the many support fiascos with their last PPC models.
Check the appropriate Toshibs support page for the patch download link and instructions.
