Two of Nokia’s E Series smartphones—the Nokia E65 and E61i—have just become available for us in the U.S. Designed for business users, both devices are quad-band GSM phones with support for 3 G cellular-wireless networking, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
Here is a quick overview of the two smartphones:
First off, the Nokia E65:
Quad-band GSM device
Supports 3 G cellular-wireless networking
Offers a sliding keypad
240-by-320 pixel (QVGA) display with portrait orientation
Includes 50MB of internal storage
microSD card slot
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
Next, the Nokia E61i:
Quad-band GSM device
Supports 3G cellular-wireless networking
Slightly updated version of the Nokia E61
Offers a fullQWERTY keyboard
Includes a QVGA display, landscape orientation
60MB of storage
Ability to “hot swap” microSD cards
2 megapixel camera
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
Expected to be sold at around $400, both devices will be available from Dell, Gateway, MobilePlanet, and Nokia Flagship stores in Chicago and New York. While the availability of these two smartphones are definite in the U.S., we sure do hope that the availability of the Nokia E90 will follow shortly. Let’s just keep our fingers crossed!
