6,700 adults were surveyed by three Harris polls late last year. One of the more interesting trends to highlight is that 55% of the 11% who depend solely on their cell phones to communicate were between the ages of 18 to 29. It seems younger generations don’t use land lines as much as they use to. Some other interesting findings are:
81% of U.S. adults have a landline phone and 77% have a cellphone.
About 16% use Voice over IP to make telephone calls
Overall, 98% of adults had phone service and the remaining 2% had no phone service at all.
