Since Apple announced their iphone at Macworld in January it looks like other companies are finding ways to take advantage of the large market that is cellular phones. Google which has been speculated of coming out with a smartphone (dubbed gPhone) is slowly coming alive. Isabel Aguilera a Managing Director in Spain and Portugal has stated that engineers are working on a phone that is capable of utilizing mobile services such as gMail, calendar, word processing and spreadsheet applications, Google Maps, and its search engine. The gPhone is speculated to run the listed applications using Java.
