Gizmodo posted up a featured guide for those considering upgrading to a pocket pc phone. As most of you may already know the 8525 is the upgrade of the previous 8125 and Gizmodo believes that for their money "the Cingular 8525 Windows Mobile Pocket PC phone is the best Windows Mobile phone out right now.”
Also if you want a review and more information about the Cingular 8525 check out this Frankenreview.
i think it is worth the upgrade...i have everything on it
He is dead solid ten-ring correct.
I made the Kyocera 7135 (Palm OS 4.x) run videos and every danged thing else for 3 1/2 years with an overdriven chip. O'k, o'k, so what if I bought 'em off'n eBay? O'k, there was about 25 in 3 1/2 years, so what?
The job got done, o'k? <grn>
Then, with the quad-mode, WIFI, etc, etc at 400mhz didn't just slip over to the DarkSide . . . I LEAPED!
From Verizon CDMA (what? I can either carry my CDMA deadass SmartPhone or a rock with my contacts written thereon in Europe?) to Cingular GSM which, why didn't they think of this 5 years ago?, and actually be able to call home from Austria? No jokes? Cool!
Yeah, it was a culture shock, but getting #1 8525 in Colorado at, did I mention 400mhz?, then, hooking up here, I valiantly subdued the MMS WinMob. . . o'k, "joined the Borg!" <grn>
But, I really, really, really LIKE the 8525.
So too will you!
To the bank, take that, friend.
