With Microsoft's Vista launch on the horizon, Release Candidate 1 (RC1) has been released and is in it's final testing state. Smartphone Thoughts put RC1 to the test... well, the mobile device synching test of course:
"The same is true about the much awaited RC1 build. I could not enable the sync functionality. Windows Vista RC1 does detect my Smartphone but provides no further option to enable synchronization of the emails, contacts, calendar and other information. However I did notice one new feature.
When you connect your Windows Mobile device for the first time, you will see the AutoPlay dialog, similar to the one you get when you insert a CD/DVD for the first time. I like this new functionality."
