There are some interesting updates on the upcoming Cingular 8525 AKA HTC Hermes. For one, there may be push-to-talk [PTT] capabilities and although PTT has been implemented in other devices already, Pocket PCs have only begun to implement such a feature. And in regards to the cool camera in the front action that we've seen, apparently Cingular's version won't have it due to lack of ready support for video calling.
I really like the looks of the 8525 and the number pad placement on the keyboard is beautiful. I’m disappointed that the numbers are at the top of the keyboard on the 8125 I take it there are no specs out on it yet ?pro speed, mem type etc ?
I don't know... Im kinda diggin the new look especially it being dark, like a car, its easier to keep clean Plus the 416mhz pro is sex ! Im sure by the time the Hermes AKA Titan comes out Cingular will have its 3g/HSDPA network hammered out, and let Video Telephony begin ! !

The HTC Hermes (pictured above) is a Pocket PC Phone that looks a lot like a successor to the HTC Wizard. It's listed as having quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS (and possibly HSDPA), a QWERTY keyboard, a QVGA, 320 x 240 pixel LCD touch screen, 802.11b/g WiFi, a 416MHz processor, a 2.1 megapixel digital camera (with flash), and a second video camera on front for making video calls. Should be out sometime around May of next year."
Yep... Unfortunately im roped into a two year contract with Cingular.... And I bet you they don't drop the price a bit and that’s a pretty big feature I for one im looking forward to...
I think it does have a front facing camera.and ptt is one of the dumbest inventions for cell phones so I hope it wont have it cuz it'll just make it cost more. I really want it for its processor and high speed data umts! I hope the camera is better than this 8125! It is horrible! but I like everything else, except the edge speed nd processor speed. I better start saving up now though cuuz I wont qualify for the upgrade when the hermes comes out
