The much anticipated and already released in areas other than the US, HTC Hermes, has been spotted bearing the i-mate logo as their new JASJAM...pricing and availability is yet unknown. msmobiles has made an interesting speculation on the future of i-mate however as HTC has begun to offer their own models under the HTC brand. It seems that i-mate may look towards other manufacturers and it will be interesting to see what their plans entail. Only time will tell...
It all depends on who provides servicing in the US (and Canada!). If HTC want to handle that (via Brightpoint presumably), then i-mate could have problems since what else are they providing?
On the other hand if HTC don't do that, then they have a choice: only sell through the telcos (i.e. telco-branded HTC products), or use i-mate - but either case goes against HTC's perceived direction of self-branding. So it seems that if HTC is serious about branding, then they have to sort out ASAP how they sell in North America.
I agree with you guys that the color combination seems pleasing to the eye. But what i like most of this new pocket pc is under the case.
