T-Mobile MDA ROM Update 2.26.10.2 Released!

tried the upgrade on my unlocked cingular 8125 running on a tmobile sim. got the screen with the colors and and an error code. I have rom version 2.25.11.1 WWE, but i want to make my fone be compatible for tmobile, any help on where to get the t-mo rom versions and how to do it? Any help appreciated.

Jesse: Even though the 8125 and the MDA are very similar, I think they have some differences that make the rom updates very specific to each model and carrier...

Just a heads up. I was trying to install the update at work on my Vista system, and the new sync program that is included in Vista will not let the update see that the device is connected. I did the update at home after downloading ActiveSync 4.5 on my XP machine, and everything went fine. I am re-installing GoodLink now.

GoodLink installed witout any issues, and I am able to access my company Exchange account without any issues.

I’m an absolute novice with forums and the like, but stick with me a while. I have a T-Mobile MDA III, unlocked to work here in Jamaica. Unfortunately, I no longer have the required 10 digit T-Mobile number to download the latest ROM update version 2.26.10.2 that offers a Radio fix for the signal search and acquisition.

According to what Tim (Site Administrator) is saying this software is the answer to my ongoing problem with the GSM signal. Is there another way of obtaining this software?? (I’ll pay for it if necessary), failing which of course I’ll just have to sling it in the trash and buy a $20 unit that signal-wise seems to work better..LOL.

ANY help will be appreciated

go to xda-developers - Xda-developers and click on forum then go down to wizard and make a search u will find the tmobile rom there

I recently downloaded the ROM update for my T-Mobile MDA but I now realise it's only for the US Version. Where can I get the English version
My system info reads:
ROM version: 1.42.00 WWE
ROM date: 09/05/05
Radio version 1.13.00

The reception of phones signals is very poor so I figure a Radio ROM update would do the trick....

Sorry....my device is the T-Mobile MDA III (PH20B MDA III as indicated on the inside of the battery cover)

I found the information useful. My rom version is 2.21.2.6 WWE. I tried going to the update site without any luck. Please give me any other link.
Is there any utility where sms/ mms / emails can be locked?

Hi!

I own a T-Mobile MDA and I am interested in upgrading my device as I have speed issues with Bluetooth and the device slows down when I add contacts pictures... I am also unable to register the device at Club I-mate and I have unlocked it as I'm using it in Pakistan and not in USA. To get updates from T-Mobile, I have to provide my T-Mobile SIM number (Cell Call number) and i have no idea how to get it as I asked someone to bring it for me from CompUSA sealed. Anyways, please do inform me of any update option for me...

I have a Tmobile MDA II or the 02 XDA II (same thing). it is unlocked and i am using the phone in CANADA with FIDO. i want to update the rom so i can add Windows Mobile 6 on the phone. buh i can not find the link to download and wen i click the one you have up it doesnt open i think i need a phone number or something? can you help me get in and get the update?

1. My ROM version says 2.26.10.2 WWE. I didn't see you mention the WWE. Is that standard?
2. Not sure I should bring this up here or start new thread.. I cannot get my MDA to connect to the internet. I've talked with customer service several times, looked at the tMobile site, and all tells me I need to back everything up with ActiveSync and then Settings, System, Clear Storage. I once had a tech with customer service tell me that if I had a memory card, I don't, that most all my problems would be solved, including this one maybe. Anyone know this to be true?
3. Search for MDA across all forums doesn't seem to render the results I would expect. Suggestions?

Ok, so I am finally going to update my T-Mobile Phone after so long, but am worried about the contacts on my phone. Do all the contacts get deleted? I've read through the 3 pages, but didn't see it answered. Can someone who has done the update let me know?

I moved all my files off, but don't know about the contacts. It's saved in my outlook, but I don't want to manual input them back on (over 400 #'s).

i hava a t-mobile, mda vario II.
but it was german. and someone tried to change its language manually into english. now it is a little english. but i have a lot of problems. for example its screen does not work properly.
etc..etc..

can anyone help me about installing 5.0 again. or how will i fix

ok not exactly where i would have posted this but here is what you need to do.
download this unlock software and sim and cid unlock you phone.

then you need to install a shipped rom perferable from your service provider e.g. cingular, or tmobile
if you need help with this let me know what service provider you are using

I have a T-Mobile MDA Touch and want to execute the update 2.26. During the update Active Sync shuts down and I get a error report 260 (no connection). I 've tried everything ( opened up my firewall for the update.exe, disabled the block for the update etc.) Tips or trics, anyone?

There is a difference between a mda and the touch.

Please read the thread this is a very old thread and wouldnt bother trying to upgrade any device just look at the dates in the thread.

Your lucky you got an error cause if you didnt you would have successfully bricked your device!
