A new set of UMPCs seem to be emerging with slightly smaller displays and VoIP features. Engadget is reporting that Averatec’s AHI UMPC is actually in development and they are claiming to implement some things worth getting excited about! Get ready for VoIP, videoconferencing, live TV and VOD, gaming capabilities, 1GHz Celeron M, 30 or 40GB drive, 1 GB RAM, webcam, Bluetooth, 802.11 b/g, 4-in-1 card reader, external VGA and audio outs, and finally a 5” display. It’s a mouthful for Averatec and I hope that it’s not their foot. Oh wait…can’t forget about the price… how about under $800?
