I've been playing around with a new mobile service for the past couple days called SoonR and I must say that it is a great service. What does it do for you? Let me count the ways...
Once you install the SoonR Desktop Agent on your PC, you'll get access to programs like Outlook, Skype and various desktop search programs from Google, MSN, X1 and Yahoo--all on a 128-Bit SSL connection. Sure, we Pocket PC users already have access to Outlook features, but can you imagine being able to use other features like Skype from your Smartphone or even to a Pocket PC that doesn't have WiFi? It works like this: Log on to SoonR via Internet Explorer Mobile and click on Talk (the Skype logo), enter in the number you wish to dial (don't forget the country code) and hit execute. If you have SoonR set up properly, then your phone will connect to your desktop (provided that it is turned on) load up Skype, and then it dial your number first. Once you pick up it will dial the number you requested and then join the two lines together via the desktop. Ingenious! Imagine all of the money you'll save on international calls! Other great features include accessing files from your Desktop PC and the ability to forward these files to others. That's all I'll say about SoonR for now. Try it out to experience a true mobile service for yourself!
All great services come with a price, right? Wrong? You can get SoonR for free here. Enjoy!
