Hi all,
I am looking for a good LCD monitor to replace my big-honking 19" Pile of flickering pixels.
What I am looking for is about a 17" LCD monitor that is around the $400 price range with the following qualities:
1. Must be able to handle high framerates (just in case Half-Life 2 is ever released)
2. Must have a good warranty (3 years preferable)
3. Black or white please
Any ideas?
I thought all the "new" LCD monitors were all in color?

Latest is NeverWinter Nights, the trilogy. I've completed KoToR, Halo, Deus Ex IW.
All on this monitor- works great.

I'm a HUGE fan of the Samsung 191T that I have http://www.samsungusa.com/cgi-bin/na...od_id=GH19PSAB.
That particular model is not longer available but they have 171's that are 17" that would probably fit your needs http://www.ecost.com/ecost/ecsplash/...sp?dpno=291077.
Not sure if the 17" has it - but my favorite feature of the 19" is that you can rotate it 90 degrees for a portrait view of your desktop - great for document editing/word processing...
Well, so I'm told - I only really play games
