HTC Touch HD Battery

Hello

I have been trying to figure out how to increase the battery performance on my HTC Touch HD. Is there any way I can disable Microsoft Direct Push which keeps getting activated every now and then draining off the battery? I have set the phone to maximum power saving mode by disabling WiFi, Bluetooth, a fake server configuration wherein Sync Option is manual and so on. Once in a while when I look in Connection Manager, I can see Direct Push getting enabled and then disabled, which culd only be the probable cause of battery drain.

If anyone knows how to disable Active Sync and MS Direct Push, please let me know. Thanks.

I have the same question, however I have also noted that this intermittent directpushing actually interrupts my web browsing connection, and frequently requires switching internet connection off and on to renestablish connection. I also have taken the very same steps mentioned. I don't autosync and don't use any exchange server related apps. My htctouchpro is a stand alone unit.

Issue solved after I flashed the device with XTROM_GRIDLEO_1_9 ROM available from XDADeveloperWiki - HTC_Blackstone_cookedroms. There are couple of tweaks build in into the ROM. My touch HD now works for atleast 3 days without charging even after I watch movies, listen to music, browse and call although not continuous. I am extremely happy with the device now along with the SPB mobile shell I installed.
