I really would like to flash my 8125 and put Windows Mobile 6 on it. I have seen instructions for it but they are very vague. I know how to turn the phone on using the camera button to come to the screen with colors on it. Can someone provide detail instruction on what to do after that. And where is the best place to download WM6 for my HTC 8125.
HTC/Cingular have not provided an official WM6 rom so you would have to flash what is known as a "cooked rom." A good source is XDA Developers forum. I am going to suggest that you think twice about doing this. It is not too hard to brick your phone if you do something wrong, but goodluck if yu give it a whirl.
If you have come to the tri-color screen, I presume you were at the xda-dev already. Download a ROM from there, connect Pocket PC to Desktop, let active sync complete its job, now execute the ROM upgrade (RUU_Upgrade_util.exe or something similar) and follow onscreen instructions.
The instructions are:
-save anything stored to your phone main memory you want to keep somewhere else.
-have a 50% charge on the phone
-connect to your computer with usb cable
-run the RUU program you download from your computer and it will do all the work
Dont be intimidated by the warnings and instructions. I have used unlocking software and other stuff before that scared the crap out of me until it worked. Its easy, just check compatibility, follow my instructions and you're golden. SHIZAAAAM!
No it will not work for a 8125 Please look in the forum as there is a detailed walk through I spent hours to provide people such as yourself. Read Read Read then if you unsure read somemore before asking basic questions that have already been answered. If you dont want to read then I offer a rom update service at the tune of $50 very reasonable and comes with warrenty and a guarantee

Hello my name is Francisco. Please can help me. I have a Pda Cingular 8125 G4. version 2.18.7.8 esn radio 2.47.11 and such a WM6 for my pda in spain. I not can find this rom o software. Please help me. I not can good speak ingles but spanisch o aleman o ingles (traductor). Where can a find download for WM6 in spanisch.
