I'm familiar with forums, just new to this one, and i know how it feels (when you are experienced and knowledgeable in something) to have noobs creating new threads about every little problem all the time

So, in order to do my part in helping keep the forums as clean as possible, in reply to the post above..i would like to ask the questions that are bothering me

I'm not asking for someone to retype full solutions, a simple link to the post that has the info is all i need

Well, there a few things, since im new to having a pocket pc and all

1) being a windows xp user for some time now, i came across my fair share of viruses and problems. I learned to create a backup dvd that can be installed to restore everything in about 3 clicks.

also, being a psp user, i come across similar situations where it can get bricked, and i took the precautions to repair it incase it does happen (creating a backup of my flash etc...)

So, now for ppc, in the case where it gets bricked, maybe because of a virus, or failed to flash an update properly (or something), what can i do now, since my ppc is brandnew, working, and setup the way i like it to prepare myself for the worse. I believe what im looking for is a way to make a backup image of everything (rom+settings+programs..excluding data such as mp3s jpgs etc..) and also, a way to restore that image incase i cannot turn on my ppc anymore. (im not too familiar with the brick scenarios of the ppc, sorry) i know there are things like pim backup, but i dont know if it works in the sense of a full ROM backup to be restored with the bootloader (i think im making sense here).

Also if possible, i would like to know the scenarios where i can recover it myself, and scenarios where i MUST send it in for repairs.

This is actually my one main concern at the moment. however, i have another small one, but its not really a problem.

2)on pc, i produce music, and often i send voice clips of what im playing (on my side) to other producers to comment using msn (windows live) ( i dont like sending mp3s of my work before they are finished), however, with windows xp, and my soundcard, i am able to go to recording options, and checkmark "wav/mp3" or "what i hear" to be able to send that through the msn voice clip rather than playing it, and recording it through the mic. ( hopefully someone knows what im talking about here).

anyways, on ppc, i believe it is setup to send voiceclips through the mic. Is it possible to send voiceclips of the sounds i am hearing/playing, rather than sending voiceclips through the mic using windows live messenger on ppc?

incase its needed: device HP Ipaq 210, windows mobile 6.0.

will SPB backup allow me to restore my backup even if my ppc cannot turn on far enough to install spb backup to actually do a restore?

If yes, can Sprite backup also do the same thing?
