R.i.p. 8525

So ya, my beautiful, productive, center of my life...well...except for my wife of course...fell out of my pocket doing about 80 mph down a nice curvy road when I was on my motorcycle...as I'm sure you can guess, it exploded into about 100 pieces...and I can't afford to buy another one...at least for a few weeks anyway...but I'll be back as soon as I get another phone.

What a pain. AT&T wouldn't even offer insurance.
I feel for you.

I'm sorry to hear that. I wonder how it fell out.... (and what your ride? )

If you want to insure these things, you can go to insurance firm and they might do it. I posted it on front page long long time ago that Statefarm might do it.

I don't know exactly how it fell out, I had my earbuds in, and it was zipped up in my pocket, I guess the wind moved the cable, which opened the pocket...and there it went.

I just started riding again, after a few years of not, I bought a 2007 Yamaha YZF-R1...so much fun

Holy Crap...new phone...to me at least

I was looking around online, and if I had about 900$ to blow on a new phone...I would absolutely buy the HTC Advantage 7501...oh ya...it looks sweet, although I really don't know anything about it...

If you guys do please let me know about this, maybe I can convince my wife to let me buy it...

Here's a spec page from HTC. It looks cool, but I'd definitely not recommend this if you'd take it for bike ride It's too bulky and it'll give you a lot of headache if it falls off your pocket again.

I've never wrote an article about it, because I feel like it's more of a UMPC, but it's still considered as a pocketPC.. just more powerful and a lot bigger.

Here are some reviews. Here's from MobileTechReview and here's from Amazon.

If you were to get something like this, it's like you can easily get a decent laptop with that price range. So, if you have that $900 really for playing around with things. I guess give it a shot and tell us how it is.

You can easily get a good Gloofish or something like that. Samsung also had their second touchscreen phone (I think it's the Samsung i780) and it got a better review than ANY HTC device, but it's only available in Europe so far. So, you might want to see if you can get an unlocked version and get your hands on it too.

Hope this helps :-p

I just got myself a new Tilt, one question though, will all of my rom's and apps and stuff like that still be compatible with this phone? They should be...right?

in theory, yes :-p
also, depends on how you're going to install 'em I guess. Like if you're doing it from the files, then that should be good.

took you a long time to get that Tilt, buddy
