I know there are many biased and emotional arguments over which is better: Mac or Windows. But for practical and logical purposes, I want to know which type of computer you think is better suited for me:
Here are my current preferences (I don't have much Mac knowledge, so a little biased):
Like Windows : cheaper and familiar. Don't like Windows: style not too good (but not that big a problem)
Like Mac: style (but again, not too important, lol) Don't like Mac: no right click mouse button on laptop (pretty big problem), pretty expensive.
I want a computer that I can buy at a good price that has:
at least 2 GB memory
160 GB Hard Drive
is portable/light
and fast and easy to use
Which computer would be best to run
word processing
Excel/similar software
PowerPoint/similar
Firefox (love it)
Photoshop software--need a good computer to run this
I don't play games much on the computer. Music and movies, very seldom. I don't want to mess with Linux.
So which type of computer should I buy (Windows or Mac)? and why?
well seeing how you dont know how to post I would say mac lol. for those of you curious he posted this 4 times.
no all kidding aside it really depends on what you want to use it for. If your into editing video or photo shop meaning if your getting paid I would suggest mac, if you just want to surf the net listen to music watch video suggest a mac.
If you want to do anything else with the computer I would suggest a pc, you can easily upgrade get software for less that $200 and get 2x the computer for half as much. Also office will only cost you like what $100 oposed to the over priced software that mac offers. But you dont have to worry about viruses if you have a mac cause it is so freaking hard to program a mac that nobody even bothers with viruses cause it is so hard to program if you program a mac your getting paid!
Seriously unless your making some cash video editing or photoshoping get a pc.
