Hello, and would like some 8525 help

Hello, I'm not a newbie when it comes to forums. I have almost 3600 posts at the PSU forums. I currently have a Cingular 8525, and I want to get some cool games and apps on it. I currently have AIM (Free version) and Google maps installed. Is there an app that listens to music and tells me the name of the song. I had one on my razr before.

I believe if you update to the latest ROM MusicID is included. You can get it from HTC: Support: AT&T 8525 Software Downloads
Look at the picture to see if you have the latest ROM

Yeah thats pretty old. Also there is suppose to be an official release of WM 6 by the fall.

All I know is that if I have to keep reseting the wm5 player so that I can play mp3s I am going to whip this thing on the ground!!!

What ROM are you running. When I bought mine I had major issus with it. Mine was AT&T branded but was really slow & buggy. I upgraded the ROM to the latest & it works very nice. I've recently moved to WM 6.

I have the current ROM 2.15.502.3. I even got at&t to give me a new phone but the problem cont. Where did you get WM6?

I got it at 4WinMobile.com - The Windows Mobile Site!. HTC isn't releasing wm 6 officially until fall. I no longer use wmp now that I have HTC Media Manager. So much easier to use fingers with.

hi guys, i tried installing the new rom.. as i was installing it my phone droped and the usb cable fell out. now my fone is stuck on the 3 colors screen. what can i do to recover my phone

Well there are many different versions around. Each with it's own style. The black Series is my favorite just for the images. Also hopefully soon the HTC Touch interface will be working on our 8525.

Go to http://www.<font size="-1">forum.xda...rs.com/</font> go to the Hermes WM6 section plenty of info there. also make sure you know what you are doing before trying to update your phone.
