Ok first thing, My media player isn't stacking all the songs from my SD card into the library. I figure you guys might know what to do in this situation it worked for like 3 hours and then I turned off media player and it didn't come back with memory card for a library selection.
next thing is about the alarm. I need to have an alarm that plays loud .mp3 or wma files from the sd card. I checked on the site already for one and I saw one that might work but link is dead. Also How do I install these things.. I got the phone about 3 days ago and havn't really got to mess with it
i'm not sure on the media player issue. i personally never use it.. however, i can help you with the mp3 as an alarm. all you have to do.. is put any mp3 or wav file into the main part of your sd card. dont put it in a folder on the card, otherwise it wont see it. i dunno why they dont put an import option into the interface. but that should do it for you. as well as being able to use as an alarm... you can take those same files and use them as ringtones as well.. and if you know how to edit files down.. you can make your own custom ringtones.
the one media player i found to be relatively decent.. is winamp for the pocketpc... well.. as long as you dont use the equalizer... for some reason.. the sound goes out of whack with some of the settings.. i dont know why.
You should take a look at TCPMP, the freeware presursor to the Core Media Player. It is much more proficient than WMP at every function they share and has a number of add-on codecs to support a wide variety of media formats. It is listed on the freewarepocketpc.com site's archive even though some other hosts have stopped posting it with the release of the Core Media Player.

I put a file on the main part of the card. in no folder and it still doesn't see it, I have one of the alarms from this site(Dunno the name but it had the most rating and downloads) but niether see it.
Hi try the attached file, this is an MP3 player for the today screen, it can be displayed in one line of your today screen or as large finger friendly buttons
When playing MP3s it shows track info and equaliser, also has a screen off function to save battery, when idle it shows battery & memory status.
I have used this faultlessly for the past year.
