Mini SD??? It is bit confusion, mini and micro sd it looks different, but so far I could not get the details regarding the capacity. thanks for the information
As it was already mentioned, MicroSD and MiniSD are different, MicroSD is smaller and is the most commonly used in cell phones and other portable devices. About which capacity to use, just take a look at the specs of your device first, since some just don't take larger than 2 Gb, as my digital camera, it uses SD, but the largest that can take is 2 Gb, even that there are SDs mems with larger capacity.
SanDisk has recently announced a 4GB micro SD (SanDisk microSDHC™ 4GB SDSDQ-4096) "SanDisk is proud to announce our newest format and capacity to the SD card family: microSD High Capacity (microSDHC) 4GB flash card. Included as bonus is our new MicroMate™ SD/SDHC compatible, high-speed USB 2.0 Reader! This will help and ensure your transition from the microSD format to the microSDHC format – for our cards and for compatible host devices. Also comes with a full size SD adapter to fit into devices with an SD slot." It is not yet available to my knowledge, at least where I am (Australia). But should be there by the end of the year.
