Hey Folks

Guys Im thinking of buying an 8525 PDA phone. I like what i read but Im still not sure if its the one for me. My Company is paying so price isnt the biggest concern. My problem is Im severly visually impaired. can the fonts be made larger on this phone? Is there a better phone for my needs out there? I mostly want the ability to use my outlook for my PC...the rest is just bonus. Happy to find a forum like this

hi and welcome to this site. Yes fonts can be made bigger if you go into the screen settings. But I recommend that you ask the reseller to show you how to do it and how big it is so that you can decide if it is convenient to you or not. I'm almost sure it will and that you'll enjoy the experience of having a pda. If I were you I would wait before purchasing a new device since Microsoft has recently released Windows Mobile 6. Only a few devices will have the upgrade. So, hold on a bit. Tmobile will offer the upgrade free for the dash.

Cool I currently have cingular. So you think cingular might give free upgrades to WM6. I went to the store and the guy was a big Treo fan and isnt really intrested in the 8525 so he's not much help. The keys are way to small on the treo and ive read pretty good reviews on the 8525. Guess Ill just hold tight for as while. Are there better smartphones that i need to look at? I am limited to cingular though. Thanks, fergy

I have a HTC S620. It's a great great smartphone. The keys are small like any other qwerty device. But they work great. The HTC is slim..

By the way, Cingular has no plans to offer upgrades for your device.
