Email issue w/ 8525

Didn't take long to screw something up. I have my Gmail account set up and it worked fine. But now it doesn't. When I hit send/receive it says finished really fast. The emails I send don't get out either. I tried a soft reset and didn't work. Any help will be greatly appreciated. P

Patrick,
I assume G-mail is POP3?
On 8525, select Messaging, Menu, Tools, Options
Tap the G-mail account
Enter e-mail address, next
Your Name (Pat), UserName for G-mail, Password (Select box Save), next
Next,
Incoming mail server (ie, pop.xxxyyyzzz.com)
Outgoing maile server (ie, smtpout.secureserver.net)
Domain blank
Options
Connect and check for msgs xx Mins
Connection = Internet
Next
Check these boxes:
Only display 2k
Outgoing mail requires authentication
Next
Get Msg Headers
Include 4k
Finish

My 8525 runs like a hose setup this way.
Best,

I had to go through the Express Mail Set up and re-install gmail and it worked. I followed your directions to tweak the gmail settings and gmail was not there. Only text, MMS and New Account. Still have gmail and it is working but does not show up in that field. Strange?
